Villa Modarawattha is an Eco friendly hotel that enjoys an idyllic and serene location on the banks of the picturesque Koggala Lake, which has inspired many writing greats such as the Sri Lankan genius Martin Wickramasinghe and Sir Leonard Wolfe. Koggala Lake is home to the famous Madolduwa Island and other smaller islands such as Cinnamon Island. The villa is a typical Dutch House which is over 150 years old, that has been refurbished and refurnished with modern conveniences. However, it has not lost the old world charm and glamour of the good old days.
