Cacao Beach

This hotel is located on the palm-tree lined Las Terrenas sand beach on the north-east coast of the Dominican Republic. The picturesque centre of Las Terrenas can easily be reached on foot. Guests will reach the "Salto El Limon" waterfall by car in approximately 30 minutes, Las Ballenas and Samana in some 45 minutes, and El Catey International Airport in around 30 minutes. Further airports include Puerto Plata (ca. 170 km) and Santo Domingo (ca. 350 km). Renovated in 2006, the beach hotel is surrounded by tropical gardens and comprises a total of 240 rooms spread across small cosy bungalows and 3-storey buildings. Attractively appointed, it is suitable for guests of all ages, and facilities on offer include a hotel safe, a currency exchange counter, a bar, a nightclub, a casino, and two restaurants, the main "Arena" restaurant with its wonderful atmosphere and the "Oregano Grill & Pizza". A launderette facility is also available, and guests arriving by car may make use of the parking garage. The welcoming rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, shampoo, and a gel dispenser. In addition, a direct dial telephone, cable TV, individually adjustable air conditioning, a queen-size bed or two double beds, a terrace or balcony and a hire safe are also all provided as standard in every room. It is also possible to order cots for babies. A swimming pool with children's pool, sun loungers and parasols are all located in the outdoor complex. Sun loungers and parasols have also been laid out ready for use on the beach, where towels are additionally available. The hotel's own casino offers an evening entertainment programme. Moreover, there is a beach club and spa area, while more active guests can try water polo, beach volleyball, tennis, windsurfing, kayaking, snorkelling, deep-sea fishing, diving, and horse-riding.
